Hardiflon's Beam Press is a specialized machine designed for the precise finishing of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) belts used in various industries, such as food processing, textiles, and industrial applications. The press works by applying heat and pressure to the edges of the PTFE belt to create a smooth, reinforced finish that prevents fraying and enhances the durability of the belt.

The process involves feeding the PTFE belt into the press with a film cover around the edges, where it is carefully edged using a combination of heated plates and pressure. This ensures that the edges of the belt are sealed to prevent unraveling, giving it a clean, polished appearance. The machine has adjustable temperature and pressure settings, allowing for customization based on the specific type and thickness of the PTFE material.

The Beam Press has a lower arm which is able to be swung open and allows for Joined belts to be slid on and off the machine. This process allows for the production of endless conveyor belts when the belt does not need to be joined after it is wrapped around a machine. The standard size for the press is 1500mm but it can be made to the size that you require.

Key Features:

  • 1500mm wide but can be made to any size.
  • Temperature is set to max at 400°C but has a temperature controller.
  • Adjustable welding time.
  • Operation can be controlled by a foot paddle for simultaneous control or by buttons for individual operation.

Advantages:

  • Faster and more reliable edge compared to sewing.
  • Provides a consistent and high quality seal.
